Enameling on PMC Workshop

Date: 20 Apr 2006

*items are contained in Metal Clay Enameling Kit #092137

Your PMC pieces should be suitable for enameling. Leaves or found objects made from slip work well if they are not too thin (less than .5mm). Pieces made from impressions with patterns mats are great for enameling. If you are adding any parts by soldering them on, you must use IT solder and the parts themselves must be made of fine silver, not sterling. Hollow objects such as beads are acceptable but are more difficult to enamel, so bring more than just beads. All of your PMC pieces should be well burnished and thoroughly clean. DO NOT put metal oxidizers on them! If you have any questions about the suitability of a piece for enameling bring it by the Naja and ask Terry (Tuesday through Friday only).
