Introduction to Silversmithing (Multi-week Course)

The following items with a star (*) are required for the first day of class:

(1) 4" or 5" saw frame*
(1) dozen 2/0 saw blades*
(1) oz. beeswax*
(1) each #55 and #65 drill bits*
(1) #1 economy half round inside ring file*
(1) each economy round, half round, and barette (3 sides) needle files*
(1) particle mask*
(1) straight edge (6" metal ruler)*
(1) pair goggles or safety glasses*
(1) ultra fine line black Sharpie pen*
(1) 1" x 6" 18 gauge sterling silver sheet*
(1) 1" x 6" 20 gauge sterling silver sheet*
(1) titanium solder pick (with blue handle)
(1) Sheet Easy silver solder
(1) Sheet Medium silver solder
(1) Sheet Hard silver solder
(1) pair economy flat nose pliers
(5) wooden sanding stick blanks (1) sheet each 220, 320, 400, 600, & 1000 wet/dry sandpaper
(3) small plastic cups or stacking containers for solder chips
(1) pair economy cutters (1) economy assortment pack of fine tip solder tweezers
(1) each graph and tracing paper
(1) bezel rocker
(1) (1) 1' (foot) 18 gauge round sterling silver wire
(1) ring clamp

You will need the following items, but please do not purchase them until we have discussed them in class:
(1) 18mm x 14mm oval cabochon
(1) foot plain silver bezel wire
