Intermediate Silversmithing, Level 2 (Multi-week Course)

Tools (not stones and silver) from Intermediate Silversmithing are required for this course.
Please refer to the Intermediate Silversmithing supply list for the tools only.

• For the first night of class, please bring an angular cabochon (square, rectangular, trapezoid, etc.) and paper/pencil for designing your first project.

The tools and supplies required for making cold connections are:

• 1 - 4" or 5" sawframe
• 1 - dozen #1 sawblades
• 1 - 5/64" drill bit
• 1 - 7/64" drill bit
• 2 - #55 drill bits
• 1 - 6" metal ruler
• 1 - round needle file
• 1 - equalling needle file
• 1 - pair economy cutters
• 1 - pair flat-nose pliers
• 1 - pair round-nose pliers
• 1 - 3" easy silver wire solder
• 1 - ball been or chasing hammer (the school has some as well)
• 1 - riveting hammer
• 1 - 3.8mm stone setting bur
• 1 - 1' 12 gauge sterling round wire (dead soft)
• 1 - 1' 18 gauge sterling round wire
• 1 - 6" .114" outside diameter (OD) x .082" inside diameter (ID) sterling tubing
• 1 - 2"x3" copper or brass 20 gauge sheet
• 1 - 3"x6" sterling 18 gauge sheet
• 4 - 16 penny nails

The amount and form of the silver required for your projects will vary, dependent on your design.
